Indika Warus​evitane – B.App.Sci (Podiatry)

Indika studied at the University of Western Sydney, graduating in 2005. Originally from Canberra, and with a background and keen interest in athletics, cricket and basketball, he chose podiatry due to his interest in shoes and the mechanics of the feet and legs. He has worked with the leading podiatrists in Canberra and Brisbane and has further increased his knowledge. He is currently involved in all aspects of podiatry and has a special interest in nail surgery and sports podiatry.​

Kyle

Kyle Dedini – B.App.Sci (Podiatry)

Kyle graduated Charles Sturt University in 2012, and after working for five years in Hobart, he made the move to Canberra.

During his time in Hobart, Kyle held a position as a board member of the State Sports Medicine Australia Organisation for three years. His role during this time involved organising national and international keynote speakers to present at Sports Medicine conferences and seminars.

Post university, Kyle has gone on to complete many courses to further his knowledge and skill set, including many musculoskeletal courses, dry needling, running technique, psychology in the sporting client, along with many more. Kyle has an interest in sports podiatry, focusing on a multidisciplinary approach to both correcting biomechanical alignment and treating pain through footwear, orthotic therapy and strength and conditioning. Kyle firmly believes that a multidirectional approach always achieves better outcomes, and he employs many approaches through his treatment plans. Kyle’s other interest areas include nail surgery and forensic podiatry.

Outside of work hours, Kyle enjoys playing soccer, taking his kelpie out, camping and travel.

Yen-Chii

Yen-Chii Wong – B.App.Sci (Podiatry)

Yen-Chii graduated from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane and has joined our team after a brief stint in Adelaide. She enjoys all aspects of care ranging from general treatment to musculoskeletal conditions.

Before working as a podiatrist Yen-Chii worked for 2 years in the footwear industry with leading shoe manufacturers, and continues to keep up to date with the newest footwear updates.

Yen-Chii has a special interest in hands-on approaches such as foot mobilisation and trigger point therapy as an adjunct to traditional treatments. She is also bilingual and can communicate with patients who speak Mandarin.

Outside of work Yen-Chii enjoys running, hiking, listening to music, and is an avid foodie.

Liz joined Local Podiatry in 2014 after having worked in a busy medical practice . She has extensive organisational and administrative experience. Liz provides excellent customer service using tact and discretion at all times. With her friendly and cheerful personality, she warmly welcomes clients to the clinic making them feel comfortable and putting them at ease.

A trustworthy, loyal and caring individual, Nilu demonstrates the attributes of an exceptional Receptionist.
She has a vast experience working in medical centres and brings these skills to Local Podiatry.

Outside of work, Nilu loves spending time with her family and listening to music.

Anika has worked in medical administration in both allied health and general practitioner clinics for over three years. She strongly values great client service, and will always love greeting you with a smile. Her passions include maintaining emotional and physical well being and reading. She is currently in the process of completing her undergraduate studies at the Australian National University.
